I am a drug addict who inherited 5,000. I need help to help me not relapse and blow all my money.

Thanks for the comment and I do agree with every you said by 40-50 bucks a week on brews and stuff I was just meaning going out and having a two drinks and food usually twice a week with friends (not drug related ones) I guess I just thought because I never have been Addicted physically to Alcohol I could still do it. I agree total stop of everything is what I will do going forward. 2 of the relapses were cocaine and one was Klonopin.

I do have hypomanic episodes that make me worry. I have "hypomania", thats probably another reason not to drink. I believe it is full on mania. When I have an episode I generally do stuff that isn't bad per say but I would see myself spending a lot that is the biggest worry next to relapse.

And I know about the economics degree, but the last thing I will be doing is managing money. It's in Economic history and thought.

I see the counselor at my school and attend Na meetings bi weekly.

You gave me some great ideas though. I'm waiting on the loans because I get enough scholarship money to have a little under 3gs extra a semester.
