I Am Senator, Doctor, and Presidential Candidate Rand Paul, AMA!

I exactly feel the same about Bernie. I'm a libertarian and I'm not shy to say that immigration is always something to be concerned about. I'm not going to sit by idly and pretend that national security, and the ever-growing safety net of people who are unable to make a living for themselves is something to scoff about. As far as gay marriage, well, shit, marriage alone is fucking hard. Let's not kid ourselves. Throw kids into the mix???? Fugghetaboutit!! The democratic party is just as ridiculous as the republican party by believing that goodwill is enough to make the wheels of progress spin and that taking the most morally correct option leads to the best results (which I agree racism and sexism is intolerable 100% of the time). I believe it's incredibly important, but I believe that the truth of the matter is, we're in New Territory, our economy is beyond repair, and we're panicking. Ron Paul appeals to the realist in me, whereas Bernie Sanders appeals to the idealist in me. I want to believe that everyone can live a life like mine, when in reality I've been blessed. I will die someday (perhaps after having several backups of myself preserved on computer tape for longevity's sake) but I know that 75% of the population has never had a chance to think past their next meal or paycheck, and I'm typing on a fucking pocket communicator embarrassing myself in front of thousands of people. I'm a privileged asshole like most other people on Reddit and I need to unplug and enjoy the life that this world (and possibly God??, Allah??, Zeus??) has in store. I need to live my life in its beauty and diligence instead of assuming I have all the answers. And all I know is that people like Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders, while I don't agree 100% with either of them, have my interests in mind first and foremost.
