rom my understanding your field of study/work is religion (because you said "this is very much my field of study/work...") yet you fail to explain what religion you were referring to unless "(insert religion)" makes it perfectly clear that you are talking about extremist Muslims.
Not religion per se. Extremism. You've started a few comments too late to understand the entire way through I was talking about ISIS.
And no I didn't jump down your throat, I responded to this comment (not sure if you have other comments on this thread because honestly people don't search your entire comment history before responding to a certain comment) without hostility or name calling. My response is clearly a method to continue a discussion of what you said but for some reason you took it as hostility.
You didn't at all try to continue conversation, you if anything tried to stifle it due to your own agenda.
Why is it the deep end? Because you don't agree with it?
Is not conducive to continuing conversation, you might want to work on that.
Ok they try to talk to you about God and you might reject them but they are so thankful for being rescued that they want to share it with you! You don't agree with it cool, stop contact with the individual because they will continue to try to get you to see the light. But please don't call them crazy because you don't agree with their beliefs.
Is not carrying on a conversation, it's closing it down.
On that I think I'm going to be more blatant than you were, I would prefer to end this conversation. I'm not getting a thing out of it other than someone trying to jump in half way and shut down the conversation because they couldn't scroll a few comments up. Have a nice day.
