This is a leader in an apa division. Won awards on researching "toxic masculinity." Personal friends and multiple coauthors with an ex president of apa. He wants something the newspapers will call about and that's it.

Just a few years ago there was a coup within apa because they "caught" somebody working for the military, even though he was open about it.

APA is a professional organization interested in one thing and one thing only. Getting more money.

They have been good at it (and admittedly some good things may have come out of that) but they know which side of the political aisle is going to cut them a check and actual mental health outcomes will not be allowed to get in the way.
