Americans of Reddit, what are your views on the pledge of allegiance?

Well lets see what the pledge of allegiance means. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic, for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." To me, it seems like a great little phrase. The flag, standing for the republic of the United States, so its saying that it stands for the democracy that the founding fathers stood for, which is truly great, because the US paved the way for what we would call "Modern Day freedom". So I don't care who you are, this freedom allows you to do things that people in past countries would give their arms and legs for, so if you don't like the freedom, than fuck you and leave. Indivisible, despite being many different states and ethnicities, we all subscribe to the same flag that stands for, though some modern people say otherwise, liberty and justice for all. Seem like a great ideal to have, liberty and justice for all, something that at the time of the constitution, was a pretty revolutionary idea. So I think its great, it stands for the ideas on which America was built on, aka liberty and freedom.
