Yes, thank you! I'm honestly getting a little tired of people spending so much time on certain reddit subs and forgetting the "everyone else irl" factor! Yeah, it sucks that young women get any messages like this, but I hate when the conclusion is "why are men like this?" People have to remember what they're gonna see on r/trashy, r/publicfreakouts, r/creepypms, and r/niceguys: they're gonna see abnormal behavior. That is what they came to see: people out of line!

There's no subs for guys who decide it's bad form to message a woman out of the blue. It's boring and typical. No subs for people who remain calm, patient and polite in public. It's boring and typical. No subs for people who behave and dress like adults. It's boring and typical.

I realize that getting weird messages is a little too common, and that they can shift from awkward to scary/abusive. Don't want to downplay that. I just hate hearing "why are men..." when I don't even view these guys as men. When so many men don't ever send messages like this! It's like asking why women "always" key cars and destroy property when they get mad: it's common enough, but it's definitely not something most women do, and I don't know if women who do that should be called women.

Crazy people be acting crazy. But not everyone is crazy, especially in a way that is harmful to others.
