Banks Begin to Fret About the Threat of Civil Unrest | naked capitalism

Shows are increasingly losing the ability to innovate- this I think is a consequence of a "cultural bottleneck" enforced by neoliberal paywallism having stifled opportunity, available time for creativity, access to mechanisms which can spread stories/art, etc. Endless reboots and retakes on existing franchises with big explosions etc gets boring eventually.

There are literally thousands of movies and shows being produced globally around the world that still innovate. Americans just have to quit being anti-intellectual doofuses who wouldn't be caught dead watching an "art film." I point this out because it hints at the greated reality of things: the American people kind of brought this all on themselves. The problem isn't that most people are morons; it's that they are proud to be morons.
