Animals As Leaders - CAFO [Metal]

To the people commenting that they can't get into it: Really, this isn't music you can just listen to on PC or bluetooth speakers. You either need a PA system, or you need to see them live. This is music you have to feel physically resonating in your body as well as your eardrums, and you'll only understand it when you actually do it yourself.

Like a space ship launching, you can only hear its true power and be amazed by it in person, or from speakers that are powerful enough to simulate it enough to give a realistic effect.

I mean all music is like this. Every type of music that people put on CDs and stuff to playback on your own devices, it's just meant to break the silence, give you a little something to relax or groove to rock out too, but it's REALLY meant to be listened to live to get the full power, and dynamic range, and pure wordless emotional range you can only get when it's played in your face.

I felt the same way about a lot of bands, and whole genres of music, especially that repetitive EDM shit DJs are playing now. I fucking hate that monotonous bullshit on my speakers, it totally does a disservice to true electronic music from the 70s, 80s, and especially the 90s. However, when I see it live, and I can feel the music, I can actually dance to it and have fun with it.

AAL and other bands that play downtuned and 8 string guitars, and other low frequency instruments, HAVE to be listened to live. It's literally the ONLY way to actually hear those sounds the way they're meant to be heard. You can't actually hear the actual frequencies unless the speakers are big enough, the rest is just emulation and your brain playing tricks on you.

That's why you can listen to Steve Vai and other 80s lead guitarists on medium sized speakers, those speakers can accurately produce what they're playing.

So really, if you want to fully experience AAL, put it in your car (if your car has decent speakers and subs), get a cheap PA system, or see them live.

Or, go to Guitar Center, go to their recording section, ask to try out their PA systems. You'll see what I mean when I say this music can only truly be experienced when it's played loud on physically big and powerful speakers.
