You are living my nightmare. One night, I woke up covered in sweat, with this one thought. If I split up with my wife, because of daily irritations, some random dude will be shouting commands at my own son sooner or later. And, I will end up paying for tuition of someone else’s child, because I have sex with the mother?!? F this, I thought. I will put up with my wife’s negativity.

On second thought, how many children are growing up in complete and reasonably happy families? Probability a minority. 34% I am guessing? So, having someone raising your child is not uncommon. It sounded like that part didn’t even bother you that much.

It was the betrayal that’s eating you alive. It’s important to differentiate that. First, I would check if this kid is actually yours in the first place. It’s possible that you are agonizing over his kid!

Once that’s done, you can always find a better girl and have a bunch of kids, who will actually be yours, you will have time and patience for.

So, not all is lost. Get the facts, get over the hurt, become responsible & start anew.
