Do you answer “Yes” to “Have you ever been involuntarily terminated?” if it’s in the distant past?

I realize 8 months isn’t in the distant past. I stated I intend to continue being honest in saying I was fired until I’m hired somewhere this time around. But if I was looking for a new job in 5-7 years I don’t know if people continue saying “yes” that they were fired or trying to lie to some generic story of “I quit because of the culture.” Obviously it doesn’t matter how but it’s made my life hell recently so I guess I’m just hoping it won’t later also.

Yes, exposed. Not even worried about being roasted. I did go to a state university and went into financial sales. But that was my choice. Not everyone can go to a top-5 school anyways for a multitude of reasons.
