However, your reply came off very condescending and I think a lot of people will refer back to this thread in the future to think about buy-side analyst vs sell-side analyst. That's what my reply covers.

There's merit to both cases. Also I can't help but add that getting one hour coffee chats with people will never compare to 2 years of sell-side analyst experience in terms of relationships development...

Not sure how that's relevant. I'm applying for MBA programs. I already did my two years in investment banking.
