Has any one every objected at a wedding, or witnessed it happen? How did it go?

This is my claim to fame and the most embarrassing story of my life equally. So as a child I was very close with my cousin Flo, and we used to hang out a lot as our mums worked alternate shifts at the hospital. When we were about sixteen in high school, Flo and I met this girl called Angie and I didn't really like her and my cousin and I drifted apart for a bit. After high school we went to colleges in different states and we rarely spoke or saw each other.

Anyways getting to the point after about six years after college I get a call from my aunt saying that one of Flo's old friends was trying to get in contact me and it turns out to be Angie. At the same time I start dating Mike, a friend of one of my colleagues at work - he was a bit odd but good looking so I ignored the strangeness. So Angie gets in contact and tells me she's getting married and of course I congratulate her and she asks me if we can meet up, as it just so happens we were both in LA at the time - convenient huh?

We met up soon after and she asked me to be her maid of honour, to which I was half shocked and half confused. I hadn't seen this girl in about ten years, why did she want me to be apart of her wedding? I eventually agreed as she said she didn't have anyone else to ask and I had known her as a kid so I thought hey why not. During the six month lead up to the wedding I broke up with Mike and three of her bridesmaids left leaving myself and two of her cousins. I had also come back into contact with Flo who promised to be my plus one to the wedding as I didn't have a date, which Angie was particularly happy with as she had 'reunited' with two friends, since the crazy bridezilla had lost pretty much all of her bridal party.

I took some time off work for the wedding as it was in Savannah and that was states away for me. On the day of the wedding we all get picked up in nice cars and have lovely dresses on - may I also add we both have long blonde hair that looks relatively similar from the back. So we are in the church and the ceremony has begun when we hear bickering from behind the church doors and a couple curious heads turn round to see the cause of the disruption. Then to everyone's surprise with a bang the doors swing open and MIKE COMES BOLTING UP THE AISLE SHOUTING "I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!" I am staring open mouthed at Mike as he declares his love for Angie when he goes "wait, where's ..." (sorry folks not putting my name in). I was beyond shocked, my brain just wasn't functioning.

Turns out when I took time off for the wedding, my colleague had only heard it was for a wedding and assumed the holiday length break meant it was MY WEDDING AND HAD TOLD HIS MATE MIKE THAT I WAS GETTING MARRIED! AND PSYCHO MIKE TRAVELLED FROM OAKLAND TO SAVANNAH TO STOP WHO HE THOUGHT WAS ME FROM GETTING MARRIED.

I decided I couldn't stay at the wedding and legged it out the doors closely followed by a hysterical Flo and we hailed a cab and left Savannah the same night. Why this man interrupted a wedding for me when we'd been dating five months and he had broken up with me four months prior is still to this day unknown to me but it made it into the local magazine and I felt pretty bad about it when I went back to work. Last I heard bridezilla Angie had to be remarried a few weeks later as it couldn't be officiated due to the 'interruption' but has since divorced her husband and is reengaged, due to married in August this year - and it was safe to say I wasn't asked to be maid of honour this time.
