Any techs that work at a hospital, alternatives to McKesson's Paragon? Windows Server 2012, all computers in the hospital are Win7 or higher. Most connect via Full-RDP connections.

We use both remote apps and RDP, not all machines are one or the other.

I would assume in a tech support sub there would be people from the industry that I work in, unless everyone here is only tech support for their parents in which case I came to the wrong place. My bad.

There are 8 of us in the department plus the CIO. He directly oversees and deals with the budget and making big PO's like this. We have a huge budget for the size of our hospital. It has been Millions of dollars over the course of 9 years.

Why did we use this program in the first place? Because our first application was bought out by McKesson and we decided we can keep going with them since that application had Excellent support and assumed that trend would continue.

All of us techs in our department can ask our boss for specific programs, apps, hardware and he will sign off without a fuss. The point is we as individuals have a say in what the hospital should get and our boss takes our considerations carefully and normally goes with what we suggest. Paragon was approved years before my time when it wasn't that bad, and now with the new issues continuously cropping up we are looking to switch.

You come across as an insufferable asshole.
