Has anybody gotten stuck in a customers driveway? (Snow/ice)

Gonna delete this comment because it’s a little messed up to post. But the funny thing is my wife and kids were in the car for fun (and to get them to sleep). We live nearby and joked how funny it would be to get his order. An hour later, guess who’s Chic Fil A is waiting.

So we get his order, drive down the highway, and halfway there we realize

A) this is most definitely him

B) his drinks are missing

So I figure I’d go there, drop it off, tell anybody who answered the door, and go back. Or at the least I’d text through the app. I like the guy, and enjoyed his shit for a decade, so didn’t want my only interaction to be fucking up his DD order. I didn’t really care about the tip and thought it would at least be fun for my wife who graciously offered to come along.

Get to the house and the driveway is a giant hill covered in ice. We just had a blizzard a couple days before. Anybody who didn’t go down to the pavement with their shovels or plows now had ice. I didn’t want to drive all the way up, because then I’d be turning around in this guy’s driveway, in a tight spot undoubtedly next to stuff more expensive than my life.

So I walk it.

Along the way I realize, here I am, my wife and kids are in the car while I, a 32 year old with a full time job already just trying to pay off daycare, is scaling some rich guy’s mansion driveway, risking my health, for a whopping $5.50.

Never had a more dystopian “fuck this place” feeling in my life.

I dropped the food at the door, took the pic, and hobbled back down the driveway. When I got back to the car I tried to message him to let him know about the drinks. But since the order completed, I couldn’t. Called support and they addressed it. Tweeted him a sorry. He liked it. End of story.
