Just want to say you’re not alone! I literally couldn’t sleep the first few months of working at smart due to the stress. I’ve heard petco is better, but it’s still corp, no contract though is really huge!!

If you can find a private salon to train you, DO. IT. I’ve only just got out of smart’s academy a couple months ago and am trying to leave already, but I have the contract hanging over my head. Plus, I was really betting on full time hours but I get sent home early all the time due to how slow my salon is. I barely get any dogs to practice grooms on, and already I’m being hassled to up my numbers (even though we AREN’T GETTING DOGS). Save yourself the stress and get out of smart while you can
