Apartment block demands tenants give Facebook “like” within 5 days - "...owners of the complex are trying to coerce tenants into giving positive feedback."

Here's a nice review of the place, (It's a bit long, but quite descriptive):

"PARASITES!!! I never had bed bugs before, and only knew them from a bed time nursery rhyme, but I soon learned after moving into City Park Apartments. I reported this to the office, took photos of the living and non living bugs in the corners of the bed rooms, dining room, with the poop dropping marks on the base boards just hiding behind the fuzzy topography of the new carpet. (which was painted with a fresh coat of latex acrylic paint, on top of walls that were obviously not prepped properly to receive a fresh coat, and surely were needlessly painted in preparation for new tenants other than the obvious need to hide any evidence of pre-existing bed bug infestation. This place must have been CRAWLING with bed bugs!, There are remants of their carcasses and even human hair stuck on the walls under the single coat of paint! The carpets have been dappled with drops of paint from the seeming expedited rush job they had their 'maintenance crew' do here. They sent the roach termination guy up a few days later. Then after that didn't kill the bed bugs, obviously from their preliminary bug guy visit, in an effort to save money to rule out the chance that it was only a certain 'kind' of bug infestation, I had the bed bug termination guy come, and he did two treatments in the apt and they still didn't totally go, away, which can be a common thing with tis sort of thing as they are tiny little parasites that have been evolving for a lot of time and good at survival. This is no joke, they don't care that I reported the bed bugs have been in my apartment - FOUR MONTHS AGO, and STILL have not been able to tell me why; 1. WHEN the treatment will be for the parasites 2. HOW the treatment for the parasites will be conducted, and 3. WHY the twats in the office cannot seem for the life of them explain to me WHY they don't have this important information. I have mailed a handwritten letter stating the issue with the bugs and have a copy, and am preparing to terminate my lease here without repercussions against myself in an attempt to free myself of being stuck in a contract with City Park DUE ENTIRELY TO THE TOTAL INCOMPETANCE OF "MANAGEMENT" HERE, when I have been respectful and patient with them and given them PLENTY of time to get their ---- together.

MOUSE POOP...falling from the ceiling?!

Yes folks, I have had mouse poop fall from the ceiling in the kitchen, the little, dumpy kitchen that I try so hard to keep nice enough to live out of. The night of Feb 25th, 2016, I was in the kitchen finishing up cleaning dishes and stuff from cooking that night, when all of the sudden I noticed skittering sounds coming from behind me. As I looked around, I notice 'small debris' bouncing off the crappy linoleum floor, and a little more actually fall. I was astonished and disgusted to say the least, and felt resolve to move out regardless of having been pardoned by a judge or not to actually break lease here. I had taken the glass light fixture cover off of the kitchen ceiling light due to the fact that I liked it much better with more light than was normally available through the dingy old glass cover which I had been storing in the closet til I would be moving out. Upon closer inspection, ther were holes in the metal fixture that was set against the ceiling, and that must have been where it fell from. I had swept up mouse turds off the floor before, but I thought it was from possible vermin coming out from under the dishwasher or fridge. I could have gotten real ill by now, having mouse dropping fall into my food!!! I have had management give me a solution to the mice under my basin and dish washer, which were just sticky pads, and not actual poison or whatever, but this was unreal. I wonder what the mice are living off of up there, I wondered, as I ACTUALLY LIVE ON THE TOP FLOOR. Hmm, not sure, maybe they survive on the bugs..

VANDALS!!! Our water heater got 'vandalized' according to the staff in the leasing office, as it was stated in a notice they taped to either entry way of my building here at City Park, and would be receiving repairs as soon as they had an ordered park come in. We didn't have hot water for about a week and a half - two weeks. That really sucked to say the least, especially since it was in freakin' December.

MANAGEMENT DEMANDING RENT THAT I ALREADY PAID!!! I received threateningly loud pounding on my door one afternoon, and I answered the door to two female staff members, asking me where my rent was. I laughed and told them they must have the wrong unit # and to check their papers they held, for I already paid rent, albeit late due to personal financial issue. They checked, and assured me I was wrong. I closed the door after asking them to wait there. I returned with receipts for the money order that was actually signed by someone in the office. They awkwardly apologized as I closed the door. Days later I found out that they had credited my payment to the wrong apartment. This has happened to others living here as well. DO NOT RENT FROM CITY PARK APARTMENTS, YOU WILL BE SORRY. THE CHEAPER RATE HERE IS JUST NOT WORTH IT.. IF YOU DONT MAKE A LOT OF MONEY, OR JUST CANT AFFORD HIGHER RENT, TRY TO GET ON A WAITING LIST FOR ASSISTED LIVING OR SOMETHING, ANYTHING, BEFORE RESORTING TO LOWERING YOUR STANDARDS FOR THIS HOLE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!"

TL;DR: Sounds quaint.
