Are you crying?

I really don't understand the hype for Porzingis. I don't understand why a GM would take a guy like that who hasn't even really been able to contribute a whole lot in the Spanish league over someone like Russell or Winslow who were able to run shit in college against othe future NBA talents.

He's so soft mentally, not just physically as you noted. He's a finesse guy who doesn't have the skill to back up his finesse.

The Dirk comparison is just laughable, same age Dirk was putting up better scoring on better efficiency - they aren't even in the same sentence. Nobody's really been making this comparison for a while though, seems as if everyone's caught on that they aren't really comparable

Perfect guy to get drafted 10-30 as a project with an outside chance of hitting some mythical upside, but I honestly cannot fathom how he's supposed to be going top 10. It's madness. It's a classic case of GM's getting way too cute and outsmarting themselves

Will:

  • Porzingis is NBA ready and has an amazing rookie season, proves to the world that he should've been picked higher.
  • Great additions to fill up the roster, Knicks no longer having to be carried on Melo's back.
  • Melo playing with a chip on his shoulder and plays at the top of his game once again.
  • Fisher completely turning it around from his rookie coaching season, bringing the Knicks to the top of the Atlantic Division.

Won't:

  • With Shved gone, Calderon is too depleted to be the primary ball handler, and Jerian Grant isn't NBA ready.
  • Atlantic Division gets stronger this year.
  • No help off the bench, FA additions disappoint and no quality starters alongside Melo.
  • Weak coaching staff and poor front office decide to blow it up before the all-star break.
