Are traditional gaming studios really using web3, or is it just hype?

I can 100% verify that most legacy gaming publishers and developers are in-fact very focused on blockchain tech being in games.

You can too if you work in crypto and just go to something like Miami Basel. I didn't make it to the 2022 edition that just happened, but I was there for Basel 2021 and I legit met like 70-80 game devs working on either Solana or Polygon and all of them were from existing studios. You'd meet a dude in his 50s and he'd be like "Yeah, I worked on Ultima back in the day" or "I was one of the first employees of Infinity Ward".

You can't rely on articles unfortunately as journalists are completely clueless as to what's going on. Crypto Reddit is super ass too. I'd suggest just keeping it locked to Crypto Twitter. It's the most on-the-pulse spot for crypto and closely aligned with reality.
