It's mostly because their fans are 12yr old ex-Justin Beiber who think that the members are hot without realizing that each of them got surgery and has a full-on face makeup, they'd also have no problem bringing down western artists and calling them fake even when their own idols have fake personas that were made pre-debut. Their fans would also have no problem killing you if you talk shit about their faves.

Let's be honest, 50% of BTS fans only like them because of their visuals, just like every 3rd gen kpop group.

Ugh, I miss when we had kpop groups/soloists with real stage presence and live vocals like Bigbang, 2ne1 and Psy that didn't need to have visuals nor be perfectionists at dancing. Sure, the kpop industry was shit back then, but now it's way shittier that it's disgusting.
