Ask Experienced Devs Weekly Thread: A weekly thread for inexperienced developers to ask experienced ones

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, so if there's a more appropriate subreddit, please let me know.

Background: Fullstack dev with preference for frontend and I have 4.5 yoe and been at my company for over 3 5 years.

I really am not enjoying my job, and I think about quitting all the time. We recently had a RIF, and the uncertainty and increased workload are putting a lot of stress on me and having a toll on my mental health. People say you shouldn't quit without something lined up, but I can't even prepare and study for interviews because of the stress. I would just like a 1-2 month break and study at my own leisure. I have over 2 years' worth of expenses saved up.

I am staying hoping there will be another round of layoffs so I can get a severance package, but I don't know how much longer I can last. I'm not sleeping well, eating unhealthy, and I stopped exercising.

I am worried about the bad job market everyone is talking about, and also, would it look bad on my resume if I quit?
