Asset test for aged pension should include family home, Australian Chamber of Commerce says

Dude, you're being retarded and not thinking the actual policy through.

No you're the one who hasn't thought it through. No one would get a pension under your plan the means test right now is 250k for a single if the home was included no one would get a pension.

You do not get the value of your home you only get around 20% of it with extra % as you get older. 50% if you're old enough. Bankers are only in the reverse mortgage business to make a profit not in it because they feel a social obligation to help out old people. Unless you have a multi million dollar home that person would end up on the pension anyway.

Your idea is so in the realms of fantasy that the government has to take control of all of the mortgages? First of all that will never happen the private sector would be competing if that's how pensioners had to live and If the US government had been doing that during the housing crisis we'd still be in the second great depression.

Like I said previously old people are not wealthy, I get it you're poor, bitter and jealous. The bitterness and jealousy is something you have to work on but this idea that because your own your house now you're "wealthy" is the most retarded shit I've ever heard.
