"ATLANTA" WINS GOLDEN GLOBE FOR BEST SERIES - COMEDY

I'm not a huge P4K stan so don't think I'm trying to defend them a crazy amount here.

When I said "mainstream" I was referring to mainstream music criticism of which Pitchfork obviously has a place in. And I would argue they are well aware of most music posted there, but it would be impossible to review all of it.

I asked you what scene you were referring to because I was generally curious but then you just linked me to an extremely general electronic music sub (which I visit daily) when I was asking about specifics.

But a lot of people seemed to think that Sophie invented that sound or that vibe?

Can you point me towards music before Sophie that sounded like that? I'm sure that it exists but he carefully crafted it towards a specific aesthetic and helped bring it to a broader audience - which has been a part of music culture, forever (Elvis..)

Pitchfork transplanted their own sense of irony on to the music and gave it this weird narrative about pop music that it didn't really entirely have

I mean the self-aware irony and pop music mutation is exactly what they were going for... A.G. Cook and Sophie have made this very clear...like that was the entire point of PC music. I'm confused by what you think they were trying to do?
