Gangs murder people from other gangs, they murder civilians, --anyone-- and they do it for several reasons. To earn their stripes by 'puttin in work' so they gain respect. They do enough of that shit, they go up in the food chain.
IT DOES NOT FUCKING MATTER IF THEY COMMIT MULTIPLE HOMICIDES AND GO TO PRISON TO THEM. A lot of them are proud to get locked up. The ones that do shit where they don't get locked up for life, a lot of them enter the pen as boys and they come out as 'men'. Gangs rule the prisons. The mentality of a fucking real violent street gang isn't business. The mentality is "I don't give a fuck".
They sell dope to make money. They also rob anyone and everyone that they can, and they usually beat the person unconscious, or murder them. They also do home invasion robberies/homicides to make money. They steal from the poor whenever there is an opportunity.
Any motherfucker in here saying "gangs are a business" "gangs are professionals, it's the wanna-be thugs that are dangerous!" either does not know what a real gang is like, you got your impression from movies, you thought some 'cliques' were actual gangs, or you are just lying out of your fucking ass. Just stop this nonsense.
The street gangs out west, particularly in Cali, which is where the most violent and dangerous street gang MS-13 was birthed, and other notorious gangs like 18th Street, Florencia 13, Avenues, the numerous bloods and crip sets, the violent Asian gangs like Asian Boyz or Tiny Rascals, etc. etc. The gangs up north in Oakland are especially violent right now. Chicago is a fucking warzone like Oakland has been, or LA was back in the 80's and early 90's before the major crackdown.
They don't want attention? Are you fucking kidding me? When they go bangin', when they shoot up rivals, they want every other gang to know it was them. They do not give a flying fuck. They are violent motherfuckers, and they will straight up murder you if you aren't in a gang and just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some gangs, murdering ANYONE is a rite of passage after you get jumped in. Some don't jump you in, they take you out bangin' and you shoot and kill somebody.
