Being an Anarchist While Serving

Greetings comrade!

Former infantry Marine here. I usually don't communicate via private message on Reddit. But would be more than happy to help you answer any questions you have here.

I was in Fallujah on my first deployment. I changed a lot out there. To be frank, I don't think I would be an anarchist now if I didn't see the bs on the ground. Anyhow, keep your head up, the military sucks. Do what you have to, to survive. Don't do anything that you will carry with you after your service is over. I still live with a lot of this bullshit 8 years on.

Just remember, You are NOT alone

Not sure what they are up to nowadays but reach out to Iraq Veterans Against the War for resources. Liberals, yes, but reach out to Veterans For Peace. Again for the resources. And just to give you the warm and fuzzies, I know about a good dozen veterans I served with who are organizing with their various leftist crews.

As Tzadikim already hit, share your knowledge. Take down whatever information you can, any manuals, any extra gear (Gear Adrift is A Gift) that you can share with comrades.

If shit does get stressful or too much to handle. HMU, I'll see how we can securely communicate :)

Also, start engaging with disgruntled veterans. Hit upon class with soldiers coming from poverty, undermine the nationalist rhetoric (as most grunts get tried of that shit while in anyways), state violence and repression. Read history! I understand theory and get the importance of it, but with a lot of these folks, hit upon the inconsistencies of what it is said that we are doing and what has already been done. Once you can open up conversations and dialogue start trying to discuss theory.

Been drinking with a few comrades so will come back and fix up any spelling or grammar errors later. Keep your head up, stay strong.
