Bernie Sanders says lower turnout contributed to his Nevada loss to Hillary Clinton

This is only proving the point. Hillary can win if she turns out the young liberals who support Bernie, but the subtext of what you're talking about is that those idiots would rather watch an insane person like Trump, Cruz, or Rubio come to power than have Hillary who at least is held to a democratic party (who is held to the democratic base).

The truth is this will come down to young progressives. If the holy savior Bernie god forbid doesn't become the nominee, they will be the difference between a center-left somewhat corporatist Hillary who is held to the Democratic Party, or a second G.W. Bush empty-suit Marco Rubio; an Evangelical crazy person Cruz; or a fascist crazy egoistic person like Trump who is beholden only to his own massive ego.

I'd love it if Bernie got elected. I really would. And I'd support him 100% if he got the nomination, and I'd wish him all the best because I support his goals even if I worry he doesn't have the skill to get us there. But the world where Hillary loses if she wins the nomination is the world where young progressives choose to watch the country burn for 4 years rather than suck it up and vote for the lesser of two evils.

I don't buy the false idea that Hillary will lose if she's elected because Republicans will mobilize. The demographics of the United States for the presidency are overwhelmingly pro-Democratic-Party. She will lose if young progressives sit at home whining because their favorite guy didn't win. Period.

Supporting the progressive cause means preventing those who are avowedly anti-progressive from coming to power. Hillary may not be as progressive as Bernie, but it would be political suicide if she was anti progressive--and it would be suicide for the democratic party establishment (to whom she is beholden) if they were anti-progressive.

Bernie supporters: keep this in perspective and turn the fuck out to vote. Support Bernie and support the party that gets us closer to progressive ideals. This is not hard.
