Best Rating for Me?

3 letter agency like NSA, NCIS, CIA? Well your rate doesn't really matter. Nothing will teach you the lifestyle or job of any of those even if people argue otherwise how some are similar.

What you should try to aim for is a rate that can give you more time on shore for college like YN, PS, LS, RP and a few others.

You sound like someone who wants to use the military for education and that's awesome. Just don't get stuck with a rate that will work you to death where you have no time to do courses.

So my advice is not to worry about the rate in relation to what you want to do in the future, but rather find a rate that can allow you to accomplish your goals.

My dad was a supply officer for the Navy and went off to work for NCIS for 20 years. Nothing he did in the navy could have really prepared him jobwise for cyber warefare and forensics but at least taught him some motivation to get there and gave him some decent background.

Take advantage of the military's free education and worry less about what rates are related to your end goal. Hope that helps.
