Again you are making a straw man argument. The Tarp loans made to the banks have been paid back and the taxpayer money was net positive.

The Student loans are private because the person who signed up for the loan signed the contract agreeing to pay it back. That means that asshole has to pay off the debt, not his neighbor.

If I go buy a boat (which I would love) and I take a $25K loan. Who should have to pay that loan back? Me the asshole who signed for it, or other people that have nothing to do with the loan? Its a pretty fucking simple concept, but I can see why a lot of these people that never paid off their loans are struggling with it.
