Blind man Tasered as cane mistaken for gun in Levenshulme - BBC News

The Blind guy is likely to suffer severe anxiety in the future if he doesn't suffer PTSD it will be a miracle and no thanks to the Police. He is also probably in shock and doing what any decent English man does and not making a fuss, sorry he inconvenienced the officers etc.

Half an hour later the Police left and an ambulance turned up?! WTF!

I see comments about it being a dark alley. Funny thing is visully impaired people generally don't care much about dim light especially if they are blind are we saying blind people should sick to well lit areas?! Don't the Police have torches?

Visually impaired people don't always know you are talking to them. They can't fucking see you! Now close your eyes imagine yourself in a public place and a bunch of excited Police turn up and start shouting commands that you have no reason to imagine include you. Are you spinning around trying to locate the danger while frantically thinking waht to do. Of course he was acting "erratically"

Visually impaired people face a whole range of challenges not least is getting bave enough to use a cane in public. The amount of abuse out there directed at disabled people is scary and carrying a stick feels like painting a target on yourself. My Mrs just said to me "Oh great so now as well as worrying that someone will see my handbag as an easy target I am going to get tasered by the Police... I'd rather walk into lamp posts. (Yes she does)

Thanks GMP for making it that bit harder for everyone.
