I had similar experiences and was told the same thing...It's not paralysis :P I can assure you once I was 100% awake with eyes closed cuz I thought it would go away if it knew I was awake, heard some one walk to me slowly stopped and made really loud digitaly bleep bloop sounds in my head then dissappeared my heart was racing (happened when I had just gotten rlly deep into ufo stuff around 18) 2 other times I heard something disturbing both in 1 month when I was deep into spiritual stuff meditating every day.

I don't believe in paralysis completely, I think our senses are heightened or something between sleep and awake state like half of us is in this world and the other half is experiencing something more (cuz our thoughts aren't focused on worldly stuff and is more free to go wherever) we remember the experience vividly because half of us isn't totally out...but I also believe we create our own realities and in collective consciousness so if I want this stuff bad enough it'll happen and every one else' thoughts can effect my experience too. so I think we can create ETs and have them create ET experiences for us lol

last night I learned so much new things about how reality works and then meditated really hard for the first time after couple months don't want to sound pretentious but I really think I affected todays ET stuff a lot lol...pretty sure I made 20 bankers suicide during that other month and the first n only time I had an OBE a big study came out the next day saying it's not real which was meant to discourage me I think and bunch of other little stuff in my life, http://www.nyboria.de/walls7.htm the part on dimensions and nag hammadi books
