Bring Me The Horizon- mother tongue

I think there's a pretty good single in here somewhere and if their fan base is big enough to run up big numbers first week, it could very easily hit in the UK and maybe do respectably over here, but the structure is a little bit messy. I don't think they seamlessly merged the Spotify-core minimal pop version of the song with the more traditional rock arrangement, there are a few moments where I can almost hear the cutting and pasting in a way that feels a tiny bit awkward and undermines the overall momentum a bit.

I think they tried to fit in too many big "drop" moments where something kicks in in an obvious way and ratchets up the intensity - moments like this are the bread and butter of this genre, and are essentially the core element of live performances of bands like this. You go see them because of the big moments where everyone jumps up in the air at the same time and when they land, the beat kicks in and the band sounds huge and your face gets melted off.

With this one I might have held off on the big guitars until closer to the end and just let it be a cute little pop song for a couple of minutes before reminding the listener forcefully that it's a Bring Me The Horizon song.
