A lot of people in this thread are talking about police accountability and how change needs to happen. Change is happening but it’s gradual. Voters can do a lot to effectuate change. Look into your county’s district attorneys. Chances are, your current DA takes large donations from the police departments. The DA is actually an elected position but a lot of people either don’t know this, don’t care, or aren’t aware of what changes a DA can make in a corrupt system. A lot of DAs run unopposed. Look up Larry Krasner, DA in Philadelphia, to see what type of change he’s trying to make and see which other candidates in districts across the country are trying to follow in his footsteps. I’m not endorsing Krasner. I’m just saying that local elections can make headlines about police brutality less common,
