You could get the 970 if you really wish and opted to use the rest of your budget, but i went on the conservative side. It'll game really nicely at 1080(A better GPU also helps with rendering 3D in photoshop if that's what you're doing)
For programming it be the same as the other one. Opted for a bit faster CPU out of the box for one dollar less, hehe but you got 300mhz so that's nice. 8gigs should be enough you can always upgrade later. And got a modular and better quality PSU for a bit more.
