you'll surprised a ton of sub players watched the series dubbed as well. it's got nothing to do with "it's the original". The dub is fine, good even, it's just all of us who watched both collectively agree that the original is just better; the VAs in the originals did an excellent job, didn't tip toe around touchey subjects for kids and thus no dialogue has changed, no cut parts, but more importantely the voice actors and soundtrack/sfx was a lot more lucrative and for the most part was a lot better. I still hold a special place in my heart for the ernglish dubbed original series and GX(loved the non-chalant approach and humour to duels and plot) and really greatful they exist, but I had to absolutely choose then the sub version of each series just offers a ton more and is nearly (almost entirely objectively) better.
