Can someone give me a legitimate reason Amway is scam?

Amway makes it money off the training, tapes, and seminars. With legitimate jobs, you get paid to attend training seminars. Amway forces their employees to pay for training that's not just unethical, but predatory.

You don't make money buy purchasing overpriced products for yourself. The logic behind using their products to make money does not make sense. Even if you are 100% loyal and only buy Amway products, you don't make money doing that.

One of the strategies Amway uses is to train you that a real job with benefits and income is beneath you - they will say that if you work for a real job you're making money for your boss and your boss's family and "do you love your boss's wife more than your wife? Then why are you working so hard for your boss's family?" What this does is make you feel ashamed of that kind of ethical work and more likely to align yourself with people who will force you to work for free. What this training does is convince you that having a real job is bad, and that God wants you to work for Amway. You'll "only work about 15 hours a week," and spend all your time with your family. In reality, you'll be travelling to carefully crafted seminars with organized speeches by people who "not passing negative," or "faking it until they make it," in other words, they are lying about making money. That's part of the process.

You are not building your own business with Amway. That's a lie to sucker people into it. You will still be obligated to obey your upline and you will still answer to Amway. That's not owning your own business. One day you will look back and realise that you have worked very, very hard for nothing.

** Keep meticulous track of how many hours you spend on Amway, reading what they tell you to read, meeting with people, showing the business, even travel time, and keep track of the dollar amount you have at the end of the month and see how much you actually make with Amway.** Your up-line will keep dangling a carrot in front of you, telling you to keep working hard for nothing and soon you'll be at the next level up. But even when you rise through the ranks, you will not make enough money to make it worth it.
