Thanks for the response, really helpful! I understand, yeah, I wouldn't want to be a nuisance either and have the person go back and forth between inventory to match what I need. I think I'd probably just ask for one check on something around what I want and then go for an alternative route. I'd love the lower price, but not if it means annoying an employee.

And I think maybe my wording was poor. i wasn't necessarily looking for a discount on an already discounted open-box item. Just looking for open box items which I assume would already have a discount applied. Either way, it's good to know that the open box price might not be worth the hassle in the end.
