Nobody referenced guns at all but I understand the easy talking point most use and abuse.

I live in Canada, I do have a firearms licence due to my training and expertise which allowed me to do so, also knowing how to handle them safe and effectively. I’d glad give up my licence and be retested every year to prove myself as I believe we should have to.

Same with drivers licences I don’t believe our grandmothers and mothers should be out there at 80 years old driving alongside myself risking mine and my families lives each and every day.

Now, with that out of the way. You would like me to list why we are NOT free in this terrible country?

1. Let’s go with your point first, guns. Yes it’s a common thing people say first but that doesn’t make it not true. I should be able to carry out of my home and not be forced by my “freedom” giving government. Can elaborate more if needed on why having someone like me who doesn’t want to be a cop for financial reasons but WOULD save you if we found ourselves in a school shooting or mall shooting. Again I would undergo much more testing to prove myself.
2. If you are harassing me, calling me names we have no freedom of speech so I cannot verbally defend myself if I so chose to. Yes I should just walk away and leave the person looking like the idiot they are. Again, I’m not free because I can go report them for harassment/hate speech and have them thrown in a theoretical cage (likely fines, jail for more serious offences) again, not free due to ridiculous hate speech laws.
3. I can’t properly guide my child in the way that I believe I should be able to and no one has the right to tell me otherwise unless someone was hurting their child or endangering them of course. If my child in grade 5 learns they want to be a transgender male and I oppose that, they complain to someone and report me I will have them taken away from me. Again not free, forcing bullshit new legislature/laws on me as a tyrannical government does.

I have to go do something but could gladly go on. If anyone disagrees with the above then I’m not sure I can help you, I will only engage with someone who wants to have a emotionless educated proper conversation instead of sticking their digital tongue out and making a noise at me.
