As expected, GamerGate people react strongly in opposition.
It's not only GG people. It's most people. Because most people are not idiots and realize that this shit is not only dangerous but it will severely harm innocent people and even minors who "made the mistake" to call someone a cunt on the internet or simply "you suck" or god forbid, the "ultimate form of harassment" - the godawful "disagreement".
As I've said multiple times (you can check my history if you want) I've been working in telecoms for 10+ years and one of primary duties is to cooperate with the law enforcement, government institutions and police departments to provide them with highly sensitive personal information in case of suspected criminal activity. The nature of it I am not allowed to even mention due to NDA-kinda shit that can get me into jail. My point is that because of all that, I have to know all the laws and regulations, especially the international ones, so I can say with absolute certainty that what she's doing is extremely illegal. She would break the laws of over 80 countries with strict privacy laws and the EU will tear her apart when the new General Data Protection Regulation, which was adopted just this month, will transition in 2 years. She will inevitably have EU people on her list, hell, as an "european" GamerGater myself (what a strange sequence of words...) I will probably end up there and sue the holy Bajeezus out of her and utterly destroy her, not for personal satisfaction (not that there won't be satisfaction...), but to stop her from inflicting severe damage to completely innocent people.
And I will again repeat myself to the point of getting annoying but this just needs to be said as many times as possible by as many people as possible - as someone who has years of experience in the field of handling highly sensitive private information, I would love to talk to her ant try to reason with her and convince her that the only thing that she will achieve is hurting (probably even physically) completely innocent people and ending up in jail herself for breaking international laws and regulations. In a way, saving her own ass. Alas, she will probably never talk to some piss poor gamergater and obviously she doesn't listen to reason... If she continues - this will end extremely bad. Honestly, I've never been more concerned with people's safety. Doxing someone nobody cares about or getting several internet threats pales in comparison with what she's trying to do - mass doxing on a global scale, this is fucking madness.
She figured that there wasn't really any other logical explanation than that these mails had to come from no other than - gasp - Zoe Quinn.
This doesn't matter at all, it's completely irrelevant. If I have to, I will team up with ALL of the SJW community this time, I will stand side by side with Zoe and Randi, but this cunt has to be stopped. I will obviously go back mocking Zoe and Randi after that, but this time it's the "enemy of my enemy" kind of situation. I want people to realize how dangerous this is. I want people to realize that this woman Candace Owens is a real enemy not just your usual harmless yapping nonsense feminist/SJW. Her idea is dangerous and her claims that she has a database of over 20k people's personal information is fucking insanity. She is ready to destroy the lives of MORE THAN TWENTY FUCKING THOUSAND PEOPLE - let that sink in for a moment... for two moments... for a hundred moments.
I don't want to blow this out of proportions but I will beg everyone here and there and everywhere to believe me (I know, I know... "listen and believe" shit...) as someone who works with sensitive private date on a daily basis - if you're not authorized by the law, and if you're not observed by the law enforcement - it is not only damaging, it is fucking illegal to hold the information of tens of thousands of people.
Honestly, I don't consider this a GamerGate issue. I consider this woman as a real threat, a real physical and mental threat for tens of thousands of people. You would say "Chill out, dude, the project was canceled" but according to her own claims she still has in her possession the database of over 20 thousand individuals and we don't know what kind of information she has for them, it may be WoW character names, it may be addresses of children. And again - according to her own words - she will not be "bullied by bullies" which makes me think she will continue to push her insane agenda and try to expose the personal data of tens of thousands of people publicly. Tl;dr of all this rant - she must be stopped by any means necessary, even if this goes to court, even if she gets her own life destroyed in the process and even if she ends up in jail.
