Any app on your phone with read permission to data storage (so basically all of them) can probably read all the photos on your phone. And any app with network access (again, basically all of them) could upload anything it can read to somewhere in the cloud.

If I were a less ethical person I'd make some shitty bingo game, upload it. And it would be doing a nice full scan of the device's contents for any banking information, photo IDs, phone numbers, etc. and would upload it all to me.

I'm not the first person this has occurred to. Google recently purged thousands of such apps from the Play Store. Be careful what you click on.
