The problem is multi pronged thats for sure. What I don't understand is how you can have such a huge blindspot in your argumentation. The USA is the ONLY country with this amount of guns and with them being so available to people, and it is the ONLY country in the world who has a real problem with mass shootings. It's so simple. It's boarder lining cognitive dissonance that Americans are so incapable of seeing that the guns are the problem. Weird.

Ontario has universal healthcare, but we pay for it ourselves via taxes and we have next to nothing in terms of mental help.

Let me ask you - I assume you don;t think regular citizens should be able to own nuclear weapons, MOABS etc, right? Why should yo be allowed to own a weapon of war designed to kill as many people in as little time? If it's truly for protection, why not just stick to shotguns and handguns which are FAR better for protection?
