I was a angry racist young white guy. I was raised from a fundamentalist Christian racist mother and father. I was a right winger in my 20s back after I got out of the Marine corp.I fast so full of hate and was aggressive.I slowly listened to NPR and began changing my views as I learned and got educated about critical thinking. I studied Noam Chomsky, Christopher hitchens, read the art of war by Sun Tsu and I was well on my way out of a learned hate and changed to being compassionate to my fellow brothers and sisters. I Voted for Obama both times and then wanted Bernie so badly to win nomination and had to vote for Hillary. I saw today what was an old me out there as a angry young man I am changed completely at 44 now.I cried today for the woman who lost her life and her family. So sad for all the injured.I am sad for our country has so much hate and division. I am so glad that I was able to learn empathy after being raised to hate. I don't know of a remedy for the folks who are so filled with hate. I know it won't come from religion or Fox News that's for sure.
