This is the state saying these people aren't people. That is so fucked. Russia hates gays anyone who glorifies Russia doesn't appreciate what freedom really is.

Sidenote anecdote: On Wednesday I took a lyft to work and my driver was Chechen. Man, it was illuminating. And confusing. For instance, the protests last week, he called "fake news" they said there were 1,000. There were only 300. (There were tens of thousands, in hundreds of cities). He said Navalny (the only voice of opposition against Putin, he also was arrested at the protest) should be shot dead. He lives here and he still totally had the Russian script. He also told me an anecdote that was kind of funny.. he was in Texas last year and he looks kind of Mexican, so he said a tex came up to him and said "Hey Pablo why don't you run and go get me a taco?" to which he responded, in that cold dead Russian accent "I am Russian, I can't get you a taco, but I do have nuclear bombs for you." Anyway, weird thing was, he was vehemently against the Muslim Ban and disgusted with Trump for being homophobic. It was quite an interesting interview.
