When I was a freshman in high school there was an asian kid that lived in an apartment complex near mine and we shared the same bus stop. Got to know him a bit and hung out a few times, he gave me a pair of decorated chop sticks. They were all black and had a painting of some colorful tree leaves with a sumo wrestler as the focus, pretty fancy. I used those fucking things for every meal to a point where my stepfather had a fit at the dinner table because I cut up a slice of pizza just to eat it with the chopsticks, for shits and giggles. Long story short I took them to school in my backpack, forgot they were there and sat the bag down snapping one of them in half in the pocket. I still wish I had taken better care of them.
