City fuming as Queens Quay land up for sale without affordable housing plans

Considering only costs is deeply shortsighted and ignores history.

I'm not considering the costs, I'm considering the ability to rapidly build affordable housing when there's a waitlist with over 100,000 households in need of affordable housing.

There's decades of research showing that low income only housing projects are terrible ideas

I never said we need to build a full neighborhood of low income housing. Affordable housing could just as easily be integrated into existing neighborhoods in cheaper parts of the city or multiple buildings could be built in different areas of town.

The city should try to maximize its ability to build affordable housing to meet the urgent demand which is why using expensive land to build it is silly.
