Cloud 9 vs. Complexity | Overwatch Atlantic Showdown @ Gamescom | Post-Match Discussion

it's gamescom so it means nothing in regards to if they don't cheat

There are plenty of hacks out there that inject off just being plugged in and terminate when a key combo is hit

There was a video by a player C9 on the CSGO roster(I Believe?) made in regards to just how insanely easy it would be to cheat on LAN at even DH so I doubt gamescom is taking the right precautions

Not to say they aren't but it's just not likely

  1. Force PS/2 adapters on the keyboard/mice

  2. As Blizzard, force them to give you info ahead of time about what periphreals they use & contact the manufac's ahead of time to get the gear sent to you, then lock it up in a box until game day, all while forcing PS/2

  3. Setup the tables in a fashion so that the players themselves have zero access to the actual PC's. Put them behind the monitors or under the stage. Either would work & easy to setup

  4. Install Qustodio, an extremely light weight parental control software that allows you to block access to all PC settings, windows, and options, outside of Overwatch. Nearly all elementary schools have these setup & it's a breeze to do

  5. Force the players to go through a metal detector to prevent radio enabled alert devices

That's literally all you need to do to 100% prevent hacking on LAN. This is something that events like IEM & DH struggle doing so I honestly doubt games is doing it. It would be extremely easy to do. After it's injected just hit whatever combo to terminate it. I wish I knew someone who was there so I could have them look at a few things just to see how secure it really is because from my experience I doubt it's up to snuff with the basics of what you have to do nowadays.

Players of their level aren't stupid & they know to cover every track. Try to inject off MSU. Is there a PS/2 adapter preventing it? Well now I have to do one of the other methods I've prepared for so I don't look like an idiot. Is the chrome locked down? No? Well now I can simply get it off a site that lets me login & use twitter by just mirroring their site & having it inject(Anyone who can code can set this up in half a day). Well now that chrome is locked, can I reach the PS/2 & remove it & not look suspicious? If so I can just remove the PS/2 & inject off & run it entirely off the MSU/flash memory on the mouse, which I assure you is enough.

LAN doesn't prove as much as people think if the computers aren't locked down properly, and there have been CSGO pros on major teams saying this, not me
