If a fighter is down and stays down the match is over, but if said fighter gets up, you don't quit. You still give it your all, no matter how many times you ha ve knocked him down.

Did you forget a step in the middle there? The point in which your opponent is on the ground? The match isn’t over until your opponent is down for an extended period of time. Is it considered “quitting” to ease off your opponent because he’s on the ground?

What about the other situations? A dazed opponent who clearly cannot fight back and is dazed out of his mind, is it considered “quitting” to not hit a man that’s clearly concussed and out of it?

Not to put it on the coach to waist his players time and teach them to quit

You’re conflating “not embarrassing the opposition” with “quitting”. They’re not even close to the same.

6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 are all goal totals far below 27 that are more than embarrassing to the opposition but not egregious enough to be far beyond “going for the throat”
