College Football Playoff rankings make less sense than ever

Lmao please explain how the regular season currently matters. Off the bat, more than half the teams don't even have a chance, so their regular seasons don't matter. Then you have leagues like the Pac-12, where I guarantee no one East of the Rockies has watched a single game of their regular season. Then you have the smaller schools in good conferences like IU who get shafted. Then you finally get to the 10 teams where "the regular season actually matters", but even then that's a farce because an SEC team can lose two regular season games and still be considered.

The argument that the regular season currently matters and an expansion would water it down is such a sham.
