What are peoples thoughts on the queue?

It is baffling to me. For me funerals and therefore coffins are extremely sad events that I would very much like to not have to relive.
My dad died when I was 10, mom’s grandpa 2 months after, other grandpa 2 years later and my mom died 3 years ago when I was 31. I feel like I am pretty much at my limit when it comes to grief and I can not understand how or why you would queue for a day to see someone’s coffin.
For me it feels intrusive to the family’s and close friends grief and a bit like grief tourism. People wanting to be part of history and grief, but without it being too personal as at the end of the day they did not know the Queen.
But that’s just my weird traumatic attitude towards it.
