Oh wait, you do think that.

charity league

I don't understand how it's a charity league when players still have to fight each other to get the money? Do people think foreign pros appear out of thin air and suddenly just win $$$?

Also I would think it's pretty Korea favoured already with the two main tournament leagues in Korea each giving just as much WCS points as the big, global World Championship Series.

And how do you think foreign players as a whole will catch up to koreans? Giving the top batch foreigners that work insanely hard money and leaving the rest of foreign players in the dust? Both foreign players and korean players have it really tough to fight up and become a sc2 pro, it's just there are way more korean players willing to pour their life into starcraft 2 than there are foreign pros that do, and region locked wcs can help with that.

players as lilbow that will get destroyed at the very first match of blizzcon

I'll just quote a comment I made a long while ago.

People set unreal standards for foreigners these days. Here's an example. There is a 16 man tournament with 15 Koreans and 1 foreigner (I don't see a resemblance with any other tournament :PPP). Now let's think about it logically, even if they were all equally good and equally likely to win against each other, the 1 foreigner still has only a 6.25% chance of winning the whole tournament. And even if the foreigner had a 66% winrate vs every korean in the tournament, that's still a 19% chance to win the whole tournament, which is mighty low. Now these days no matter when a foreigner drops out of a tournament with a lot of koreans, be it the ro16 or the finals, they still act as if he/she should have played better and beat the said korean the player lost to. I think a ro8 performance would be very impressive already, but losing in the ro16 is nothing to be ashamed of, considering 7 other Koreans will also lose in that same round.
