Conrad Black: Prof. Peterson must not face this assault on reason and his rights alone

If that changes I'll stand corrected

Well, that was fast. I stand corrected.

As for Patreon, I really can't blame him. If I had a marketable skill that people were willing to pay that much for, I'd be all over that too. Just more money to support the family. Marketing yourself isn't the same thing as being driven by greed.

Here's what he says on his Patreon:

The additional financial support helps me remain confident that I can remain independent in my thinking and less vulnerable to institutional pressure, should that be brought to bear.

Considering that the U of T originally threatened his employment status, I can see why he's going this route. If he makes good on the promise of his multiple proposed lecture series then I really can't see a problem in supporting that. I'd be quite interested in a lecture series on Solzhenitsyn and Dostoyevsky because I might have trouble getting through all that prose stuck in my own head.

I think he's been too busy lately to have time to write a new book.

That said, I doubt that this new book is going to contain much material that I haven't already seen on Youtube.
