You clearly don't understand how S-curves work. This is just how new innovations always work. They grow slowly as the technology first develops but adoption is low, then enter in a period of exponential growth, which then slows as it reaches saturation.

You do realise that when the internet was first invented most people decried it as a fad and inferior to the current systems? People who actually understood the technology then were trying to convey its potential to others but were mocked for doing so. It too did nothing for the first ten years, and then grew exponentially in the late nineties to early noughties.

Yes, it has. In DeFi there are billions in liquidity pools. Cardano has signed a contract with the Ethiopian government to provide educational records to students in there. Brave have the fastest growing web browser that successfully uses BAT as its means of advertising payments.

Electric vehicles have existed for over 20 years but they're only just starting to see widespread adoption. But they're still early on the S curve. Doesn't mean that they're not always been the future of vehicles.
